Canon recently announced three new cameras that will be released to the public on March 30, 2017. The cameras are the Canon EOS M6, EOS Rebel T7i and EOS 77D and all three are currently available for pre-order on Amazon and Best Buy.
This is the latest addition in Canon’s EOS M series and coincides with the release with an optional add-on, the EVF-DC2 External Electronic View Finder. The stats on this camera include a 24.2 Megapixel APS-C CMOS image sensor which is capable of performing well even in low-light conditions, the advanced DIGIC 7 image processor, and super-fast Dual Pixel CMOS AF speed. This camera will be compatible with the entire lineup of Canon EF, EF-S and EF-M interchangeable lenses and is also equipped with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC capability. Ease of use has been enhanced from the previous model with separate controls on top of the camera body for mode and exposure compensation. A controller wheel on the back cycles through menus and additional in-camera features that professional photographers with experience with Canon EOS cameras are used to accessing. In a statement announcing this camera’s release, Canon COO Yuichi Ishizuka recommended this camera for professionals and advanced amateurs who wish to produce high-quality images and videos that are easily shareable. The Canon EOS Rebel T7i introduces a 5-point, all cross-type AF system to the Rebel line’s Optical Viewfinder and also adds the Dual Pixel CMOS AF with Phase-detection and the DIGIC 7 processor to the Rebel line. The EOS Rebel T7i includes creative filters that can be used for both still images and videos in new and imaginative ways. When designing the new EOS Rebel T7i, Canon took into consideration feedback from entry-level photographers who expressed interest in learning to go beyond the program mode of a DSLR camera. Users will now be able to preview the effects of switching modes on the mode dial or tweaking settings by seeing the changes in the images they wish to capture on their screens. This gives them a chance to experiment with effects like a shallower depth-of-field or giving moving subjects a frozen or flowing look with less wasted time going through the images afterward. The Canon EOS 77D Camera was designed for advanced amateur photographers looking to expand their knowledge and experience with DSLR cameras. This new category of Canon EOS cameras is designed to be a step above the Rebel line while still being accessible to advanced photographers. Features include the 7650-pixel RGB+IR Metering Sensor, which is similar to the one found in the 80D, and an Anti-Flicker shooting mode that is designed for use in environments like auditoriums that might include ambient flickering artificial lights. It also includes a top LCD panel and quick control dial for photographers who desire quicker and easier access to changing and controlling settings on the camera.
